Progress

Our latest project is a Level 2 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) training course. For this we needed £5000 and we are very proud to announce that we have just reached our target!! Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who has supported these efforts. Watch this space for information on the next project!

CHPs are trained to levels 1, 2 & 3 (level 3 being the highest), each level bearing increased responsibility and having enhanced qualifications and authority to administer advice, treatment and drugs. Level 3 CHPs operate from a Clinic, while the other two levels are entirely community-based, delivering their services and advice in the homes of the population. The training is delivered by local Government trainers against a nationally-recognised curriculum. The trainees are then examined in accordance with national criteria.
